    Informative, Relevant & Necessary.

BLACK & IRISH is not only relevant & necessary, but also beautiful, with its eye-catching cover, splendid illustrations, & informative content. There’s even a QR code to scan for a playlist of Black Irish tunes. Readers are introduced, across twenty-five chapters, to Black Irish people, living & dead, using factual & accessible language. Although personal stories are key, each page contains additional bite-size information, presented using contrasting colours, which compliments the main focus within each chapter. BLACK & IRISH is an excellent cultural resource that should be on bookshelves in every Irish school library. Well done to Leon Diop, Briana Fitzsimons & Jessica Louis. Thank you for this important & timely book.

Black and Irish, very fitting 👌

Excellent book, inspirational and informative. An insight into how people can feel by growing up, struggles others might not see, resilience that's in your dna. I dream of the day that people don't see colour and just see the person, be it black or white and ignorance is in the past, future generations will look back on this book and see how it began and continue to be strong and empowered.
