Once upon a Place and the Irish Book of the Decade!

Earlier this year Dublin Book Festival asked top publishers across Ireland to nominate their choice for the next Irish Book of the Decade. A list of the top ten most nominated books was created and the public voted!

The winners have been announced and we are thrilled to have Once upon a Place tie for third place with Irelandopedia for the Irish Book of the Decade! Essentially, that makes our book the Irish children’s book of the decade and we couldn’t be more proud. And what an honour for the Once upon a Place writers! It’s a privilege to be considered among the talent that was shortlisted and we would like to congratulate our friends who have won first and second place: Lilliput Press/Doubleday Ireland and Donal Ryan for The Spinning Heart and New Island for The Long Gaze Back: An Anthology of Irish Women Writers, edited by Sinéad Gleeson. And now we celebrate!
